I'm Adnan Ahmed, a visually skilled Director and Producer shooting cinematically and directing DOP's to create high-end documentaries for major broadcasters, including the BBC and Channel 4. I tell stories of truth, giving voice to ordinary people in extraordinary situations, often in the most hostile of environments.

My drive to give others a voice comes from having found my own voice late in life: as a child I wasn't listened to, and was bullied because of my ethnicity. I anglicised my name to “ Ad," in an effort to fit in.

Since then, I have reclaimed my name and here I am - Adnan, an adaptable film maker, ready and able to work with happy and diverse teams to connect with a range of complex personalities from vulnerable members of the public to new presenters and tricky politicians.
